Andrew ‘Andy’ J. Wong

Founded AJW Inc. in 1998 in San Francisco, focusing on the government and nonprofit sectors. With over 40 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and a background in civil engineering and math, Andy has been instrumental in programming, managing, and developing sales for AJW Inc. Under his leadership, the company has supported projects in health, economic development, education, early childhood development, and public safety across more than 50 counties in California and all counties in New York state. Andy is deeply committed to giving back, having raised millions for COVID relief and supporting community efforts nationwide. His work continues to empower government and foundation clients with innovative software solutions and cross-agency collaboration tools.

Roberta Achtenberg

Roberta Achtenberg is a Founding Partner of ABK City Advisors. Achtenberg has more than 30 years of senior-level leadership experience in business, government, and law, and currently serves on private-sector and public-sector boards and as a corporate advisor in public policy. Achtenberg is a former Commissioner of the United States Commission on Civil Rights, appointed by President Barack Obama in 2011. She served for 15 years as a Trustee of the California State University System and for two years as its Chair. Achtenberg was a Co-Founder of the Economic Equity Network, dedicated to transforming communities of color with Opportunity Zone capital. She is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Bank of San Francisco and Senior Advisor in Community Development to FivePoint. She also spent five years as a Director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco where she chaired the Affordable Housing Committee. Achtenberg served in the Clinton Administration—first as Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity at the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and later as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of HUD. She co-led the HUD Agency Review Team for the Obama Transition. She is also a former elected member of the San Francisco County Board of Supervisors.

Vinay Patel has over a decade as an arts administrator and has been a critical factor in the growth of Asian Improv aRts’ as an arts advocate (as a co-founder and a coordinator of the California Asian American and Pacific Islander Arts Network), producer (from local to international concerts, festivals, tours, recordings) and organizational development consultant as well. Patel has been the Executive Director of Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center since 2009.

Jeannine Schumm joined AJWI in 2001 as a programmer seeking meaningful work. She was the lead developer of the first fully integrated version of the company's flagship Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting (DCAR) web application, which includes modules for case management, evaluation, reporting, surveys and administration. She has implemented versions of DCAR for many clients in the early childhood, health care, housing, and criminal justice sectors. She supervises a team of programmers and oversees the ongoing development of several DCAR systems, as well as statewide child care resource and referral web applications in California and New York. As a lifelong learner, she is constantly improving her skills. She earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2013, became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) in 2022, and earned her Certified Business Analysis Professional Certification (CBAP) in 2024.

Andy Wong founded AJWI, a software company focused on the government and non-profit sectors, in 1998 in San Francisco. The company has served over 50 counties in California, all counties in New York state, an assortment of state agencies, and foundations such as Hewlett, Haas Jr. and Packard. AJWI has supported projects in health, economic development, education, early childhood development and public safety. With an educational background in civil engineering and math, Andy has programmed, managed, and done sales for AJWI since the beginning. As an entrepreneur Andrew has sought to do well while doing good. His work has always been to improve the public sector and offer tools that can improve the lives of families seeking services. AJWI has developed deep program areas specialties using its DCAR base programming and expertise in the workflow and outcomes management for key government programming areas. Andy's current connection to project work is as a backup manager and a data analyst. His primary work is in business development, sales, and administrative support.

Andy also is committed to giving back. He has been active in the non-profit sector for over 40 years and continues to use his skills and capacity to support others. Over the last few years he and the AJWI team have raised millions to support COVID relief, and AJWI's technology has been used to support community efforts all over the country. AJWI technology has supported the engagement of millions of citizens in community improvement and getting everyone to vote. Andy and the AJWI team are very proud of the work they have done to give back and support the efforts of community groups to involve families and youth in civic activities.

Michael Tubbs is the Founder of EPIC; the Founder of Mayors for a Guaranteed Income; the Founder of Tubbs Ventures; and the Special Advisor to California Governor Gavin Newsom for Economic Mobility. In 2016, he was elected Mayor of Stockton at 26-years-old. He was the city’s first African-American Mayor, and the youngest Mayor of any major city in American history. As Mayor, Tubbs was lauded for his leadership and innovation. He raised over $20 million dollars to create the Stockton Scholars, a universal scholarship and mentorship program for Stockton students. Additionally, he piloted the first mayor-led guaranteed income pilot in the country.

Under his leadership, Stockton was named an “All-America City” in 2017 and 2018 by the National Civic League. The city saw a 40% drop in homicides in 2018 and 2019, led the state of California in the decline of officer involved shootings in 2019, and was named the second most fiscally healthy city in California. Additionally, it was recognized as one of the most fiscally healthy cities in the nation and was featured in an HBO documentary film, Stockton on My Mind
